Capturing culturally significant events has been a core part of Bob's work over the years. His lens has captured everything from mayors to manholes, conferences, parades, groundbreakings, concerts, and high-profile celebrity visits in Phoenix, AZ.
Places
Bob has photographed in Japan, Mexico, Cuba, Italy, China, the Philippines, Australia, Kenya and Czech Republic. Through Each Other’s Eyes, he’s used his camera to nurture cultural understanding since 1988.
Behind the Lens
Having photographed people from all walks of life for the city of Phoenix, Arizona for over 25 years as the official photographer, Bob Rink currently specializes in capturing cultural portraits and the special occasions in people's lives.
With a camera never far from his hand since 1972, Bob Rink has traveled much of the world. Bob photographs high-profile personalities from Barry Goldwater to Barack Obama and Joe Biden—as well as the every day events that give meaning to our lives.
As president (2015 - present), treasurer, chairman, and associate of the international photo exchange group, Through Each Other’s Eyes (teoe.org), he’s used his camera to nurture cultural understanding since 1988. Bob has photographed in Japan, Mexico, Cuba, Italy, China, the Philippines, Australia, Kenya and Czech Republic. He continues to capture the faces that identify cultures around the world, while opening doors for others to do the same.
Bob’s passion is backed by talent that has landed his photographs in the The Boston Globe, Arizona Highways, Sunset Magazine, and numerous newspapers and magazines around the country. He has exhibited in Fototeca in Havana, Cuba and the Tanks in Cairns, Australia.
Bob, with his sister Katherine Callingham, curated an international photo exhibit and festival from 2006-2011 in the Alamos History Museum in Sonora, Mexico, and toured that state and Arizona.
Bob is currently serving as Scottsdale Sister Cities’ president. He also volunteers with Western Spirit, Scottsdale’s Museum of the West as a docent.
